Practice terms & conditions - The Partridge Practices
The Partridge Practices (Molesey Veterinary Centre, North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies, Alpha Veterinary Surgery (Teddington) and Claygate Veterinary Centre) aim to provide high quality independent veterinary health care. Our fees and trading conditions (detailed below) are structured to allow the practices to provide this service. We constantly review, improve upon, and invest in our premises, equipment, staffing levels, training, service and expertise for the benefit of our clients and their pets.

- Clients are requested to settle their account after each consultation; should your pet require a course of treatment, payment will be required after each consultation or treatment unless specifically arranged otherwise with one of our veterinary surgeons in advance. All operation and hospitalisation fees must be paid in full at the time your pet is collected, unless specifically arranged with one of our veterinary surgeons in advance. Estimates will be provided if requested; daily updates of running costs will be provided if requested.
- We aim to advise clients of fees as accurately as possible but estimates are approximate and as the course of conditions and treatments can be unpredictable clients are advised to discuss ongoing treatment and hospitalisation costs, etc, daily with our staff. If your pet is insured, we would normally ask that payment be made to us in full before making a claim with your insurance company. If you would like to make a direct claim (the insurance company pays the practice directly) this will in most cases be considered: we request that if you wish us to make a direct claim please to discuss this with us in advance. All residual fees (uninsured items, insurance excesses) not paid by the insurance company remain the client’s responsibility and must be paid in full. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.
- The Partridge Practices (Molesey Veterinary Centre, North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies, Alpha Veterinary Surgery (Teddington) and Claygate Veterinary Centre) reserve the right to pass unpaid accounts to debt collection agencies/ solicitors for recovery/ legal action to whom we may assign the debt and all rights, without restriction.
- In the event payment is not received as per Clause 1, a fee of £25 will be added to the amount owing to cover associated administrative costs. In the event that the account remains unpaid you will be informed by letter requesting the account be settled before the account is passed to the debt recovery agency.
- In the event of late payment we will require you to pay our expenses and legal costs incurred in taking appropriate action to obtain payment on an indemnity basis. This will include costs associated with returned cheques, correspondence and legal notices, locating you if you have changed address without notice, and third party costs incurred in the collection of unpaid accounts.
- If the account is not settled, The Partridge Practices (Molesey Veterinary Centre, North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies, Alpha Veterinary Surgery (Teddington) and Claygate Veterinary Centre) reserve the right to ask you, by letter giving two weeks’ notice, to seek the services of another veterinary surgeon to treat your pet(s).
